The room was perfect, well laid out, comfortable, great bathroom. Staff very helpful. A great hotel and have already recommended it to people I know heading to Kerry.
The terrific welcome laid on for all of us, family & staff were very attentive & made the Wedding a memorable experience, thank you very much, & well done
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The food was gorgeous and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with excellant sea views.
The warm and friendly welcome and the helpful staff.
Nice old style hotel & well situated beach-side in Waterville. Good food but a bit pricey. Staff very efficient & helpful especially Shona who is a star asset for this hotel.
4 star & no tea/coffee facililities in room! No hair-drier in room, no WiFi in hotel except one '30minute card' to be used in the residents lounge! Not good enough for a 4star hotel in 2011. Maybe the management need to be shaken into the year 2011 as they seem 10 years out of date!
The family that run the hotel were really good people
There was a lot of things that we liked about the Butler Arms Hotel, for example the staff were professional and friendly, it was a lovely comfortable romatic hotel. We got upgraded to an executive room with seaview, it was a lovely surprise on arrival. Great location to get away and chill out. Breakfast was hot and tasty, the contential breakfast was nice too, Irish yogurts, soft fresh pastrys too. Comfy bed and hot shower. Dinner in the bar was very tasty and it is relaxing bar to drink a few glasses of wine in. We had a great time andd would love to go back!
The only think realy is that the car park is not amazing, ok so it is right by the hotel which is great but it is on the small side, and is a bit tricky to move the car around, Im not sure there is anything that can be done about that but there you go.
we were given a room with the most beautiful view over the ocean. The staff were very friendly.
I thought the Dining Room was a bit drab. A hedge in front of the windows prevented a view of the ocean. The breakfast was very boring and limited.
The Butler Arms is a good hotel, no doubt about that. What makes it a great place to stay is the attitude of the staff. They are fantastic.
Our room was huge and beautifully decorated, with a fantastic view of the shore. The staff were very friendly and the hotel has a cosy lounge area for relaxing, and the restaurant serves excellent food. The hotel is situated in the perfect location to see the Ring of Kerry. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Ring of Kerry. Overall a great experience for me and my family.
We found the staff very friendly and helpful. the hotel looks very unique and imposing from the outside, inside it is comfort and full of nostalgic nuances. Bedroom was comfortable and bright with a great view.
Tea-making facilities would have been nice.
Location was great next to Waterville golf course. The room views were great of the ocean.
On our first night there were water problems in some rooms and we were asked to allow staff to move us. This essentially required repacking which was a hassle, but we needed reliable water. We were moved to a wonderful suite, an obvious upgrade, which made the stay wonderful. All staff members went out of their way to make ous stay as pleasant as possible.
After 50 years, my stay was as good as the previous one. The hotel is very comfortable, friendly, with a good restaurant, and at a very reasonable price.. What more can man desire? Itwas among the best of our 11 hotels around the Republic, and the North. Many thanks
Lovely pleasent staff. Great location looking out at the Atlantic. We were upgraded to a wonderful suite with fantastic views. Great atomsphere in the bar and excellent bar menu. Advantage of no pool etc is not overun with children. Will definitely be going back.
